Hope the day is progressing well for you! The last couple days I have been putting in a ton of time on Emprius. Yesterday, while I spent a lot of time in game, really did not see me getting much accomplished. Yes, I did some quests and yes, I managed to get a few things done, but the majority of my time was spent working on getting the garrison up and running at level two.
Now I know I can cheat and look up some of the guides that are out and about, but honestly where is the fun in that? I have been enjoying playing at a slower speed since returning and have taken pride in avoiding any guides to date. Instead, it is fun, to me, just to go about and make choices based off of what I think will work best.
One of the really fun aspects of doing things on my own, has actually been in finding new followers. The other day, for example, I was completely lost in one of the zones and I came across this Ogre who was in a pretty bad situation. I stopped and flamed a whole bunch of baddies and low and behold gained a new follower. I was really excited and it brought back that feeling of discovery that I have mentioned was missing.
As you may (or may not) know, I have recently jumped back into the World of Warcraft! So far I have been controlling my addiction to the game by limiting how long I am allowing myself to play. Alright, I am really more limited by the fact that I have far too much going on outside of the game world, but Blizzcon got me completely excited for the next expansion! Anyway, I have been trying to do one level per day.
So last night, while Emprius was torching his way across the frozen wastelands of Draenor, he was asked by Khadgar to take a peak in on good old Gul'dan. Needless to say, Emprius was quite displeased that there was a Warlock convention going on and he was not invited. As you can imagine (or may know from doing the quest yourself), things do not end well for one of these individuals.
I am currently sitting at level 95 and have been really enjoying my time back in the game. While I am missing the old days of running with the crew, it has been a refreshing experience doing a solo grind. I even hit up a random dungeon with a strange group of Forsaken, and minus a few singe marks to the others, things went splendidly. I even managed to pick up a present for Lunk!
Happy hump day everyone! Hope your day is going great! Mine has been pretty good so far. Yesterday I had this strange urge to play WoW, so I logged on my account and looked over all of my characters and debated on whether I should just start fresh or jump back into the fight with an established character. I cannot stand the thought of starting all over again, so I chose to log into my Warlock, Emprius! It was not long before death and destruction was raining down all around Azeroth! I am having a massive urge to get back into WoW on a more consistent basis lately, which should translate into a lot of activity happening around here. For now, be warned, something wicked is out there and he might be closer than you think.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and that your Monday is kicking off another great week. Over the weekend, I put in a lot of time playing Hearthstone. I had some positive things happen, like hitting rank 14, and then some really bad things happen... like going on a big losing streak. Now I could blame RNG for disliking me by dropping multiple Doomsayers or encountering players who were absolutely terrible, but then I would have to admit that perhaps my winning streak was nothing but RNG. So rather than admit that perhaps I am really bad at this game, I would rather focus on the positive!
For example, I made the decision to swap out a few cards and add in Hellfire and Bane of Doom. The Hellfire addition was extremely useful in helping me decimate a couple players I ran into; however, every time I faced a Hunter, it appeared as if my Hellfire cards and taunts were mysteriously removed from my deck. Is there a secret Hunter ability that removes all such cards?
The deck appears to be extremely effective against Magi. To my knowledge, since I started my run, I have only lost to one Mage and that was due to an unfortunate Doomsayer spawning late in the game. I would also note that the Mage was a mech Mage as well. I wish I could remember their name because they played flawlessly and seemed to know exactly what I was planning to do.
I am not going to lie to you all, there were times where I wanted to switch decks and play a more conventional deck, if there really is one, but I just really like how this deck is handling. Perhaps next month I will run a different deck, but for the remainder of this month... YOUR SOUL SHALL BE MINE!!!!
Happy Thursday all! I hope you all are doing absolutely great today! Today's post is going to be a short one, but I have pictures!!!!! I hit rank 15 yesterday! I am pretty pleased with the overall success of the deck. I do believe though that this weekend I may tweak a few cards around to provide a little more protection against face decks.
I had a good friend who spent his evening Tuesday throwing various decks at me. While some of the decks won by sheer RNG, others won by shining the light on the weakness of my ability to clear a board. So that having been said, I believe that this weekend we will look to tweak the deck slightly in hopes of adding in a little protection against these decks.
I did also manage to sneak my way into WoW yesterday and was working on cleaning up my bank some. I have been kicking the idea around of making a major change there and if I do decide to act, then I must be prepared! Look for more WoW updates in the near future!
In other gaming news, I received my beta access to Star Craft II: Legacy of the Void at the end of April; however, I did not notice this till late yesterday. I did download and hop into it, but there seemed to be only one other player online who was completely out of my class in terms of skill. So sadly, I really have nothing to report on there yet, but keep your eyes around here because I promise to bring you all the terrible game-play I can! Well, I think that is going to do it for me today. Catch you all next time!
I think that this deck has potential and I certainly want to try to take it as far as I possibly can. How far will that be? Well, that I do not know, but I do know that it will be a fun ride! I think that is going to do it for today, below are some screenshots from this deck in action. I hope y'all have a great day and I'll see you next time!
I cannot believe that we are almost have way through May! I hope you all had a great weekend celebrating Mother's Day. I had a great weekend and even managed to get a little bit of Hearthstone in! Although I am not sure if the Shaman felt the same way? Oh well!
So I realize that things have been really, really quiet around here lately, and I truly do apologize for that; however, I have a lot of things that I am working on in my spare time and so I ask that you all just be patient with me and stick around!
As far as gaming goes, I haven't been doing too much. I wrapped up the Blackrock Mountain expansion in Hearthstone, save for the heroic bosses. I just lose interest in those. I have spent a lot of time just playing random games though, and I believe I am going to put a focus on actually playing ranked more seriously. My rank play usually consists of running to twenty the first of every month and then waiting to collect my new pretty card back... which I never use. Yeah, not exactly legendary game play, right?
Well, I am planning to change that and I have already started working on it. Last night I sat down for around two hours and played a few matches. I am really trying to go with my own decks versus running out and checking different sites for the "it" decks, but I am also very serious about wanting to push at achieving Legendary rank... so I might have to set my principles to the side, in favor of getting that orange little gem up there under my name. Time will tell! Right now, I am running a lock deck that has done me well. It is focused on the ability to have minions on the board regardless of what the opposing player does. It did get rolled recently though by a very good zoolock and then a demon lock. Kind of bruised my pride some, but I am going to stick with the deck for this month and then work on switching some things around.
I am actually debating on streaming some of the game-play, but I hate to put people through that misery with my poor system. Maybe it is time to finally build the new computer? We shall see! Well, I think that is going to do it for today!
