If you haven't noticed lately, things have been changing around Holy Shock. When the site first started out, it was strictly devoted to World of Warcraft, with a heavy emphasis on the Holy Paladin. Over time it has grown to include various other video games such as Diablo, Minecraft, and a few others. In the past, we have had other bloggers join our ranks and provide various thoughts on what was going on in their gaming life. We have highlighted different services and/or products that we found to be useful, Within the last month, we just launched a brand new series that focuses on what we are watching through the various streaming services.
So what is my point? Well, change is inevitable in our lives. Whether it is a change in how we view things, the relationships we have, or the career path in life we choose. Everything changes and that is the driving force behind my thought for today's topic. I was watching videos over on YouTube and I came across one that was just released for an update to Wargaming.net's next patch for World of Tanks Blitz. It got me thinking about how much the gaming industry has changed in my lifetime.
When I was a little kid, the very first video game system I had was an old Atari system that had switches to turn the game on and off and adjust other various settings. Now we have games like World of Tanks Blitz that we can play on our cell phones! It blows my mind away with how far our technology has come in such a short period of time.
So it is my intent, in the near future, to begin covering the mobile and social games that are out there. I am not 100% sure on exactly how we will accomplish this, but I feel like these games deserve the same respect and attention that we give to their console and PC brethren. So in the near future, look forward to seeing that here at Holy Shock, and in the interim enjoy the announcement video for World of Tanks Blitz patch 2.0!
