Lighting the Path Forward for Holy Shock

One of the things I am constantly doing here at Holy Shock is evaluating how best to share our content with a broader audience. Over the years, that’s meant experimenting with naming conventions, testing ongoing series, trying theme-based posting days, and even walking away from certain platforms entirely. Through it all, one truth has become clear: no matter what approach you take, passion has to be at the core. If you don’t have the drive to see it through, the work becomes just another chore.

That’s where I often find myself. I’ll have amazing ideas and charge forward with energy, but without laying the right foundation, the effort can lead to burnout. The reality is, foundation matters. This site is a huge passion of mine, but sometimes the energy just isn’t there. Why? Because Holy Shock isn’t the only thing in my life. I’m a father, a husband, I work a demanding full-time job, I’m building an online business, and I’m trying to take care of myself—whether that’s going to the gym, showing up at church, or simply resting. Holy Shock may be a passion project, but it’s still “extra,” and fitting that in isn’t always easy.

I juggle writing blog posts, producing video content, listing items for the eBay store, brainstorming new ideas, and all the other tasks that support the bigger vision of where I want Holy Shock to go. If I only focused on the business side, I could simplify. But the truth is, the passion lives in the rest of it—the insights into collectibles markets, the fun gaming moments I get to share with family and friends, and the chance to let people into this amazing life I’ve been blessed to live. That’s what drives me. But make no mistake, it takes work. And as I’m sitting here working on this post—Light knows the hours it takes—it’s two in the morning, and this is the grind required to see something truly grow.

So, where am I going with all of this? Not to complain, but to share that change is coming. Moving forward, I’m working to combine the platforms more intentionally. Blog posts will appear here on the site and on our Facebook page. Videos will tie into the articles, and the articles will feed into the videos. It’s about creating a connected flow, not scattered efforts. I’m excited about this new direction and the chance to grow the Holy Shock community in a more focused way.

I’m not going to pretend I’ll suddenly crank out daily videos or force unrealistic schedules—that’s not sustainable. Instead, I’m asking you to keep reading, liking, commenting, and supporting as this next chapter unfolds. This is a new world for us, and I want you along for the ride. Look for more updates on how we’ll integrate Holy Shock seamlessly across social platforms.

It’s an exciting time here, and I hope you feel the electricity in the air.
